We met in 2010 at a Jersey Shore themed party through mutual friends. After staying up late talking many nights we knew shortly after that we were meant to be together. Steve proposed at Longwood Gardens on a chilly December night in 2010.
Shortly after Kristen graduated from college, we relocated to Florida. After two years of dating got married in September of 2012 at the same church Steve was baptized in. Over our four years in Florida we had many family visits and as our nieces and nephews were getting older we knew we needed to move back home to grow our family, close to our families.
We have always known that we wanted to grow our family. We had tried to get pregnant but then received a diagnosis that would not allow us to.
After much praying we began to pursue adoption. Our promise to you is that we will provide a safe, loving, nurturing home; and fun, loving family life.
We are humbled and grateful you are taking time to get to know us and for considering us as you make the difficult decision of who will parent your child. You don't know us yet but we have been praying for you for a while now. There is no doubt you have a lot of nerves about this process- we do too. We admire your compassion for your child and your courage to consider adoption. We cannot begin to imagine the emotions you are feeling during this time and we pray that you have the support that you need as you plan the future for you and your child. We know that you are an incredibly courageous woman and we cannot wait to meet you.
We look forward to growing our family with you included. Remember, it takes a tribe and we hope you will be apart. We look forward to sending photos and videos, celebrating milestones, and growing our relationship as a family, with you included.
We want you to know how much we already love and respect you; we want what is best for you and to be able to encourage you through this journey. We want to be a part of your story as well and look forward to meeting you and learning more about you as we journey through this process that god has directed both of our hearts to.
We vow to provide and protect your child with unconditional love!
Thank you for your courage and love you have already shown your baby.
We have expanded our family twice, with our four-legged kiddos, Bimmer and Stella. They are the best of friends and are so excited when their cousins, our nieces and nephew, come to visit and are anxiously awaiting becoming a big brother and sister.
Family is the most important thing to us. We look forward to the weekends and our free time to spend with family. Our most favorite times are our annual ski trips and Thanksgiving for nerf gun fights.
We enjoy traveling, boating, hiking, and just being together. Our go-to vacation spot is Ocean City, Maryland, but we love to visit the Finger Lakes in New York during the fall. During the summer you will find us at the beach, out on our boat fishing or relaxing with family, or sitting around our fire-pit enjoying smores.
Our home is located in a safe and family friendly neighborhood. Our home is always open to family and friends. We love to host holiday gatherings or holiday parties. We have four bedrooms, with the nursery having plenty of room for toys and fun. Our first floor is open and welcoming where we can't wait for meal times or watching football as a family. Our back yard is fenced in with a fire pit.
West Virginia, Kristen just loves the vast countryside and small town home feel.
